Recommends it for: Aspiring make-up artists

This book was so good I stole it from the library! For years I was torn betwixt my joy at owning this amazing tome and the guilt I felt for commiting such larceny! If you lot accept any interest in special effects brand-up, this is a must read.

THE BIBLE OF Stage MAKEUP.

Of all the stage make up artistry books and "how-tos" I have read, this book is by far the best. Richard Corson does a fantastic job demonstrating different makeup trends ranging from the production of "Cats" to "Phantom of the Opera." He also elaborates on the many different processes for crumbling makeup and and the use of prosthetic. I (unfortunately) had to self-teach myself many tricks of the trade by using this book as my guide, and was able to become complimentary-lance gigs due

Whether you are a practiced, experienced actor or just kickoff, this is an splendid and tried and truthful mainstay. It is practical and easy to follow and full of wonderful ideas which can be used as instructed or adapted with personal touches and practice. I have it ever handy on my ready-to-use shelf.

Fabled, also great for children age ii (every bit a picture book) and up who are interested in theatre.
